The my Sun Life mobile app provides convenient and secure access to a variety of services including group benefits, personal life and health insurance, group registered retirement savings plans (RRSPs), individual or group savings plans, insurance claims and e-claims, retirement plans, and investments.
With the app, you can easily submit medical and dental claims, find healthcare providers, manage your retirement savings, group RRSP or savings plan, and view your insurance products on the go.
For those with health benefits, whether through a personal plan or employer, the app offers features such as finding relevant benefits, insurance and health information, submitting and tracking medical and dental claims, discovering coverage details, conveniently sending necessary documents by taking photos or attaching receipts, accessing coverage cards from anywhere, checking Health Spending Account (HSA) and Personal Spending Account (PSA) balances, viewing personal insurance policies and investment documents, receiving push notifications for claim status updates, and linking your Sun Life account with Alexa.
The app also allows for easy management of investments including group savings plans, group RRSPs, personal mutual fund products, and segregated funds. Users can check balances, view transaction history, assess investment performance over time for workplace investment plans, contribute to RRSP or savings plans, submit forms via photos, access documents related to personal and workplace investments and insurance products, as well as direct health claim payments to selected savings products (eligibility criteria apply).
Additionally, the app provides various extra healthcare tools such as finding professionals offering virtual services, using the Lumino provider search for local healthcare providers and booking appointments with them (e.g., psychologists, dentists, chiropractors), booking online appointments with select paramedical providers, utilizing the Drug lookup tool for medication information, accessing money-saving tips for medical and dental claims, and exploring discounts and special offers on mental health resources, eyewear, fitness, and more.
Sun Life ensures users receive updates and support through the app. Push notifications are sent for claim statuses and important account information, notifications about product and service updates, special offers, and helpful reminders. Users can easily contact Sun Life for assistance, call from within the app with plan, policy, or contract details readily available, and connect with their advisor or find an advisor nearby.
